Those eagerly anticipating the final season of J.J. Abrams’s Lost will have to be patient in between episodes this season.

Executive producer Carlton Cuse has revealed that Lost will return to ABC in January, as scheduled, but will be interrupted by ABC’s telecasts of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.  The show will continue after the Olympics end in February.

Since the last season ended in May on a major cliffhanger, many fans may be disappointed to find more lag time between episodes, especially in this final season where showrunner Damon Lindelof promised to wrap up all of the loose ends and reveal the truth behind the mysteries of the Island.
