More news has emerged on the Smallville television movie event, featuring the Justice Society of America. While originally slated to be two episodes called “Society” and “Legends,” the television movie will combine the two into a movie called Smallville: Absolute Justice. The airing of the film, written by JSA comic writer Geoff Johns, also has been moved to February 5, 2010.
Recently, a picture from the episode has been released, featuring Michael Shanks as Carter Hall/Hawkman.
The show is currently on hiatus and will return on January 29th. The latest trailer, however, contains footage from Smallville: Absolute Justice. Comic book fans will spot glimpses of Dr. Fate, The Sandman, the ring of the Green Lantern, and a full-blown portrait of the Justice Society of America drawn by comic book artist Rodolfo Migliari.
