Viewers of ABC’s FlashForward were in for a shock last night when they discovered that the next episode would not air until March 4th!  The show is already declining in ratings week after week and such a long hiatus may lead to even lower ratings.  Recently, the writers and production staff have gone on hiatus as well.

From a story standpoint, the producers of FlashForward have promised that the episode airing on April 29th will coincide with the date in the characters’ flashforwards.  But with the recent news, fans are currently speculating how much story the show will cover between March and April.

Meanwhile, ABC’s remake of V last aired its fourth episode on November 24th and will not return until March 30th.

With such a long hiatus for both of ABC’s sci-fi shows, can V and FlashForward recoup the ratings in the spring?  If you’re a fan of either one, make sure to mark your calendar!
