Not even The Man can alter destiny. LOST fans had plenty of reason to be on edge this week, as there were rumors flying around that the final season premiere of the show was in danger of being bumped back to a later date due to a pending State of the Union address.
However, today White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs let it be known that fates of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 are going to continue to unfold, as scheduled, with a two-hour premiere episode on February 2nd. “I don’t foresee a scenario in which millions of people who hope to finally get some conclusion with ‘Lost’ are preempted by the president,” he said. “You can quote a senior administration official.” It should also be noted that while many network shows have elected to not to compete with NBC’s broadcast of the Winter Olympics, Lost has decided to brave the waters in the ratings pool and attempt air the entire season without any breaks… Namaste.
