Joss Whedon and Morgan Spurlock to Make Comic-Con Documentary

Nothing rouses the masses of geekdom with more fervor and excitement like San Diego’s annual Comic-Con. It’s a weekend when one of the most beautiful cities in the world finds itself overrun with grown men in Storm Trooper outfits, fanatics who think the LOST island is really out there and, as of late, women with gravely misappropriated feelings toward Vampiric romanticism. Nonetheless, it has become the mecca for any and everything relevant in popular culture, boasting premieres and appearances from the biggest movies, tv shows and celebrities on the planet. Spurlock directed the successful 20th anniversary special for ‘The Simpsons’ a couple months back. His ability to turn documentary films into something even the most hardened viewer could enjoy coupled with Whedon’s hardcore, expansive fan base should make the film a winner. The question now is whether it will get a theatrical release or if this is something we can expect to see on cable. Read on at MovieMoron.com
