This week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly features Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern on the cover.

Unlike many superhero suits, the Green Lantern suit is actually completely CGI and all spy photos of Reynolds on set show him in a motion capture suit rather than in skintight green spandex.  The CGI makes sense considering that the Green Lantern Corps uniform in the comics is created by the ring and is, thus, made of pure energy.

Fans will note the absence of the black arms/legs and white gloves as well as the new presence of lines of energy light poking through the suit.

The film is released on June 17, 2011 and will co-star Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Mark Strong as Sinestro, and Peter Saarsgard as Hector Hammond.
