“Lost” William Shatner Scene In Latest ‘Star Trek’ Film

Over the past week, Star Trek fans from around the world have been chiming in with their thoughts on a scene that might have been. Just recently, a role written for William Shatner in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek was revealed. To the disappointment of quite a number of fans, Shatner’s part was ultimately never filmed.

Orci and Lindelof Talk ‘Star Trek’, ‘Fringe’, and ‘Lost’

Some more news for Star Trek fans today, as well as fans of Fringe and Lost. At the link below, you can watch a nine-minute video interview with Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof, two of the filmmakers behind this year’s installment of the Star Trek franchise. In the video, Orci speaks briefly about the status of the film’s sequel as well as the additional sci-fi elements being used in Fringe. Lindelof also talks about the sequel and then speaks about the final season of Lost and how they plan to market the show.

Roberto Orci on The Observer in Fox’s Fringe

Devoted followers of Fox’s Fringe may have noticed a bald man in a suit, dubbed The Observer (Michael Cerveris), appear in the background of every episode last season.

Recently, the show’s executive producer, Roberto Orci, revealed to TV Guide that The Observer will not be alone this year. ”You are going to see many Observers,” revealed Orci on the eighth episode of the second season. ”You’re going to find out their role in the world, what they’re named after, and their connection to some of the characters.”

Fringe, created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci, will premiere its second season next Thursday, September 17th.

Lost & Star Trek Producer Damon Lindelof Talks to Sci Fi Crush

Last night in Beverly Hills, Sci Fi Crush got the chance to speak briefly with Damon Lindelof, executive producer of Lost and co-writer of the upcoming Star Trek sequel.

The hit ABC series, Lost, approaches its sixth and final season in 2010. Lindelof described writing the last episodes to be “an enormous emotional experience” and confirmed that the show’s ending has been in the works since the very beginning.

The writer also promised Lost fans that all of the show’s loose ends will be tied up in a fair and satisfying way. ”We hope that all who put their faith in us to resolve these stories will be rewarded. We’ve really been writing this season for the fans.”

Damon Lindelof also produced this summer’s reboot of Star Trek and has been working with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci on developing the sequel. ”It’s in the preliminary stages,” he said, “We’ve thrown around some cool ideas, but that’s it.”

Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are up for an Emmy for their two-parter Lost episode, “The Incident.”
